I’ve just become a moderator at a new, upcoming forum called Coding Under Ground.  Its going to grow into a great forum with topics in Programming, Computers, Databases and more.  Head on over to get in before the rush.

If you’re a blogger, you’ll understand the importance of a comfortable chair. After sitting down for hours, your back will be sore and you’re not going to want to blog for very much longer, so what do you do. The people over at Inter Country Office Furniture have solved the problem providing a large range of comfortable office chairs and office furniture.

Their four main office chairs at the moment are called Tabitha, Quasar II, Tirol and Stealth Mesh. All of these chairs go through rigorous testing to make sure they’re up to the high standards needed. The prices are fairly reasonable with the Tabitha going for 50 Euro, the Quasar II for 100 Euor, the Tirol for 120 Euro and the Stealth for around 200 Euro.

While these prices may seem rather steep, you really can’t pay too much for your health. Inter Country Office Furniture also sells office storage to hold all of your books and other things laying around your office.

My personal of the four that I have mentioned is the Stealth Mesh.  This chair allows for proper ventilation when you’ve been seated for long periods of time.  While it is rather expensive, it’s very comfortable and my back felt great even after many hours of sitting.

For the past few years wiki’s have been gaining popularity. The best known wiki is of course Wikipedia, but Wiki’s have become so popular that you’ll now see them on a number of different websites including educational sites, well known media sites and even corporate websites.

For those who don’t know what a Wiki is here’s a brief description :

A wiki is software that allows users to create, edit, and link web pages easily. Wikis are often used to create collaborativewebsites and to power community websites.

One of the best websites for starting your very own wiki is Wetpaint.com. Wetpaint is a free online wiki service that lets anyone create a wiki in three easy steps. The service features many of the same features that are found on message boards, social networks, and blogs. They even offer a full users guide to help you along the process. The great thing about the service is the fact that it is totally free and very easy to use.

Before looking at Wetpaint.com I hadn’t had much experience with wiki’s. I knew what they were and the general layout / design of them but I didn’t really know how they worked. After messing around the website (and it’s very well laid out), I had a plethora of knowledge and was able to go out and build my very own wiki in a matter of minutes.

The sign-up process couldn’t be easier. You first click on a big green button called “Go”. You then enter in your wiki’s name, url, a basic description of the wiki and then who has permission to edit it. In the second step you pick the design that you want, there are a tonne to choose from so you shouldn’t have a problem finding a design that you like. In the final step you create your actual account with the basics (username, password, etc…) and then you’re done. Thats it, you’ve setup your first wetpaint wiki. It literally took me 2 minutes to do the entire process.

The wiki looks like your normal wiki and the you have the ability to change everything. Wetpaint.com offers the easiest way to get your personal (or business) wiki up and going and it’s totally free. I can’t think of a reason not to head over and sign-up even if it’s just to try the service out. I fully recommend Wetpaint.com for all of your wiki needs.

As you may or may not have noticed I have been very absent from this blog. Lately I’ve been writing for a great new blog called The Hardware Reviews. This blog as you could probably get from the name reviews different pieces of hardware such as Desktops, Laptops, MP3 Players, and many more different categories. I’ve written a number of different reviews and they’re all genuine.

Here’s a look of the site

The Hardware Reviews

The site gets it unique look from its owner John of JohnTP.com. There are 3 other writers along with me and I think the reviews are of top notch.

Check out TheHardwareReviews.com to get your latest fix of gadget reviews.

Everyone makes mistakes. When it comes to computers I often do, deleting the wrong files, accidently deleting ones that I need and a number of different things like that. What I need is something that’ll fix all of those silly mistakes that I make.

Luckily the folks over at Handy Recovery have created just what we need.
Handy Recovery is an easy-to-use data recovery software designed to restore files accidentally deleted from hard disks and floppy drives. The program can recover files damaged by virus attacks, power failures and software faults or files from deleted and formatted partitions. If some program does not use Recycle Bin when deleting files, Handy Recovery can restore such files. It can also recover files moved to Recycle Bin after it has been emptied.

The program supports FAT 12/16/32, NTFS and NTFS 5 + EFS file systems. It shows probability of successful recovery for each file.

Here are a list of features:

  • NTFS/NTFS 5 + EFS, FAT 12/16/32, HFS/HFS+ file systems support
  • Option to create disk images for deferred recovery
  • Preview window to show the content of deleted files
  • Shows probability of successful recovery for each file
  • Recovers files deleted without Recycle Bin
  • Restores the structure of deleted folders
  • Explorer-style disk content browser showing deleted files
  • One-click filter button to show only the deleted files

The cool thing about Handy Recovery is that they set the price depending on how many licenses you buy. The prices are like this.

  • 1-4: $39.00 per license
  • 5-9: $36.00 per license
  • 10-24: $32.00 per license
  • 25-49: $28.00 per license
  • 50-unlimited: $26.00 per license

Even if you only need one license, Handy Recovery is a great piece of software. It works extremely well for what it is and there really isn’t anything else in the software world that does the same. If you’re in need of recovery I totally suggest that you buy this software.

Every now and then a sponsored review comes across my desk that is actually relevant to blogging and today is one of those days. Today I have the pleasure of reviewing Link Exchange Experts. This site is essentially a set of webmaster tools that help to increase search engine rankings. Webmasters can get over 600 links pointed directly to their website. These extra links will increase traffic and hopefully get your site to rank better on the search engine.

Why should you buy links though?
Link Exchange is important because most of the search engines use the number of links that point to your site, (called “Back Links”), to determine how popular your site is. Link popularity is the number external sites that point or link to your site. Link building is used as part of an algorithm to determine where your site will come up when a search is requested i.e. Search Engine Ranking. The higher your search engine ranking the more traffic you will receive.

What About Relevancy?
Another part of the algorithm to determine search engine ranking is link relevance. One might think that if the search engines just look at how many sites link to mine, all I have to do is create a huge amount of junk sites and link them to mine. It’s not that simple. Each site has its own “importance”. The old adage “the more sites that point to your site the better” is not as accurate as it used to be. The quality of the site that links to yours is very important. A page that has a huge ranking will increase your popularity more than page that has none. Hence a new philosophy has been adopted: “The higher the quality of the link, the higher quality of my site”. At Link Exchange Experts, we pride ourselves on maintaining a directory of quality links that will help you gain search engine rank and more traffic. And you don’t have to spend hundreds of hours trading links with other webmasters.

Link building has become more and more important. That’s why we are here to help you. The more quality links you have the more popular your site will be. The more popular your site is the more traffic you will receive. And that’s what its all about!

The Link Exchange Experts give you the ability to Buy Text Links and its only $24.95 per month. With this great deal, Link Building has never been easier.

USB Christmas TreeThe Christmas season is quickly approaching. This means lots of snow, eating great food and spending time with family. It also means spending lots of time trying to find the perfect gift for the loved ones in your house. As a blogger, there are a lot of Christmas presents we’d like to see our blog receive. Here are a few things that I would like to receive for my blog.

  1. A 1000% increase in visitors
How nice would it be to wake up and see that instead of the normal 100 visitors you now have 1000 visitors.
  2. The average visitor stays for 10 minutes
Now that you’re getting 1000 visitors by the time you wake up, all of your visitors stick around for 10 minutes each. They’re reading your articles and interacting on your site.
  3. minimum of 30 comments per post
One of the best ways to see if people like your articles is to see the comments on them. A great Christmas gift for me would be at least 30 comments per post. This is a great way to see if people actually like what your writing or not.
  4. Only important emails
Instead getting spammed with a lot of useless emails requesting links, asking for posts, etc… all of your emails are extremely important. People wanting to give you stuff, people wanting to buy advertising on your site and things like that. This would make your day a lot easier because you no longer have to wad through the useless emails.
  5. Your articles get referenced by professional bloggers everyday
Darren, John Chow, and Daniel reference your articles every day increasing traffic even more.
  6. Your site becomes Page Rank 10
Because of all the backlinks from popular site your Page Rank goes up to 10. This also means that you can sell your advertising for a lot more.
  7. You can become a professional blogger
Because of everything above it is now feasible to become a professional blogger. You can shed your job and start writing full time and actually make a good living off of it.

If all of these things were given to me for Christmas I would be the happiest blogger around. Just imagine if you woke up on Christmas morning and even one of these things happened. But thats just what I would want for my Blogging Christmas. If you could have anything what would you want?
