Yes, I also noticed that seldom bloggers post their new posts in weekend. According to the Google Analytics, my blog's traffic surely goes down during the weekend. All of us know that why, but to me, whether it is weekend, if i have something to write, I definitely will post it. :)

@Jason
I've noticed the same thing. My friend didn't post on the weekends and then he decided not to post on mondays or fridays and it didn't stop there. Scheduling your posts is very important. I often will write a lot of posts on one day and then schedule it throughout the week.

@Mike
I just found that writing on the weekend was a great way to keep your readers. I have found that my subscriber counts don't drop off nearly as much as they did before I posted on the weekends now that I do post on the weekends. I highly suggest it for anyone who blogs.

@Werd
It sounds like you have a strong background that will make you a great blogger I look forward to it. One of the best things you can do is study your visitors. These are the people you want to gear your site towards, not search engines.

All of you have great sites btw, nice designs and content.

Um, duh.

This duh is for me, I didn't even think about keeping a draft or two back or even to try a scheduled release. Thank you Jason, that's a good idea.

I'm real new to Blogging, but not to writing or SEO or web mastering. Getting all these skills together to actually make my blog a work worthy of looking at is a whole other deal.

I'm learning a lot from visiting people that visit my blog. I feel it's a good think to look at their blogs if they show up on my scanners, and I am actually getting some valuable information for it.

This rocks. Thanks to Jason, Make and Adam here.

I actually am going to start posting on the weekends, mainly things that are off topic from my niche, like personal stuff, etc.

And I am with you though, I once had a high day of subscribers on a weekend. They can be pretty good.

I don't usually let it stop me from posting.

I've been posting on weekends for over a year, and it's a great way to keep readers coming back. I've noticed that many bloggers who take weekends off soon start to take Monday and Tuesdays off. Then, after a few months, they stop posting altogether.

That said, I don't actually write a post everyday. Instead, I make good use of the scheduled release option and write a day or two in advance. This also gives me an opportunity to write some drafts and set them aside for later editing and release. The best posts are never rushed :)
